This is not my first 80% ambidextrous lower from JL Billet. I have tried multiple other companies and this is by far the highest quality. As soon as you open the box you can tell it will make a beautiful rifle and because of that you take your time in every aspect of the job. I have used them for not only myself but my wife's rifles as well and would recommend them over any other company hands down! 5/5 starts, to be honest they deserve 6/5 stars because the quality is amazing. I do Precision metal fabrication so I'm used to holding a 0.0005" tolerance and I can tell you for the tolerances this type of equipment needs to be held by JL Billet is of the highest quality.

High quality 7075-T6 Aluminum 80% lower with great mill work! I took a few quick measurements with a mitutoyo dial caliper and the tolerance seem to be well below mill spec. I recommend getting the anodized finish. I wish it was offered in bead blasted.

Very high quality lower! One of the key features of this lower is that it is made out of 7075-T6 aluminum. If you do your research on 80% lowers you'll find that very few are made from 7075-T6, most companies opt for the cheaper 6061-T6. Some could argue that 6061-T6 is strong enough for use in a lower reciver, however if you are looking for the best quality I would recommend this lower. The anodizing is also top notch. The milling process was also quite simple. Even though 7075-T6 is a stronger aluminum than 6061-T6 it is not really harder to mill with an 80% jig. If you use high quality bits to mill and take small passes it eats through it like butter. The Ambidexterous bolt release is also an awesome feature! JL Billet did an exceptional job with making the ambidexterous bolt release simple and effective. In addition, the upper tensioning screw is a nice feature, it removed any play between the upper and lower receivers. The threaded bolt catch pin is a great addition too. Shipping was extremely fast! The packaging was exceptional. Couldn't be happier with my purchase. Great company to work with. I'd definitely recommend JL Billet and this lower to anyone looking for high quality craftsmanship.

I ordered an ambi lower, when I got it, it was missing the ambi paddle. I informed them of that. They didn't ask any questions, just shipped it to me same day. In the best of times, this would be outstanding customer service. With the madness in the gun industry right now, priceless. And, by the way, the craftmanship is flawless. Expensive, but when you hold it in your hands you'll understand that this was made by people who care. Will 100% do business with them again.

This lower is awesome! The fit with all my uppers is just remarkable.. even though it has a tension screw to remove any play between the upper and lower I will never need to use it.. there isn’t even the slightest amount of play. Everything else about the lower is top notch.. love it
