JL Billet .308 15" Straight Cut Free Float M-Lok Handguard Low Profile

The continuous top 1913 Picatinny rail allows you to mount sights, optics and any other accessories without additional rail sections. The Magpul M-Lok system allows users to customize the handguard with removable rail sections and direct mount accessories. The handguard is constructed of 6061-T6 aircraft aluminum and finished with an optional Mil-Spec type III hard coat black anodizing

The MLS has a precision bore to fit the proprietary barrel nut which removes any unwanted play and ensures an exact fit!! Installation requires a 1-5/16" Crows Foot wrench (not included) for the barrel nut; standard AR-10 barrel nut wrenches will not work with this handguard system. These rails are some of the lightest you will find anywhere! The 15" weighs in at only 10.9 oz. including the barrel nut.

If you are looking for a unique look, lightweight, and quality forend then this is it!

    High Quality Rail

Posted by Dan on 9th Aug 2016

In all fairness, I work for a well respected manufacturer that at this time isn't making .308 rails. Out of the box I was impressed. Clean lines, really light, perfect anno. Installed to PSA PA10 upper. Easy install, impressed with barrel nut/mounting system, simple and solid. Low pattern mates perfectly with PA10 pic. JL Billet is putting out good stuff. Also notable that I ordered on a Friday, received the next Tuesday, in PA. High quality, fast shipping, and I have no issues with what I paid for the product I got.

    Excellent!

This hand guard is excellent. Put it on a 20" Palmetto State 308 upper and it fit absolutely perfectly. Very light and a nice tight fit. The execution and finish on this rail is some of the best I have seen and I have seen quite a few. Excellent value. I would purchase this rail again in a heartbeat.

    Review subject to change

Posted by Ethan from CA on 14th Oct 2015

I haven't had a chance to test out this product, but for the most part it looks excellent. The rail's mlok system works well, and it is freakishly lightweight. I have a rather heavy 24" 308 bulk barrel, and I chose this rail to help offset the heavy profile of the barrel. The barrel nut works great, even on the somewhat damaged barrel nut threads on my upper reciever. Once you figure out how to get everything to work, it is excellent. Only minor complaint is that some of the edges seem a little sharp to me, but they aren't sharp enough to be any sort of issue. They aren't razors, it's more like they are sharp enough to notice that they aren't perfectly rounded. No big issue, as the edges in question are on the inside of the rail. Overall, it looks good. I can't wait to get my .308 build done and see how it performs at the range.
